Whether you struggle with work, relationships, or school, we all can't seem to shake it's unrelenting presence of stress and anxiety.
If you've ever tried to dismiss it, you'll likely temporarily block it out only for it to grab hold of you later before bed. This is not uncommon, but that doesn't make it any better.
Many of us suffer from General Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and we don't even realize it. An estimated 2.7% of U.S. adults had generalized anxiety disorder in the past year. This number has only grown in recent years with no signs of slowing.
There are methods to relieving this anxiety, but with the distractions of life it's difficult to properly tune ourselves in to understand the root cause.
Here's where cbd helps, within a month of daily use your body will begin adjusting by reducing cortisol intake (the reason you are stressed and anxious).
Anxiety is a daily dilemma. Whether it comes from work or relationships, effort must be placed in preventing this ongoing disorder before your health begins to decline as a result.
Cbd provides this outlet by lowering physiological distress signs that occur as a result of anxiety. Signs such as increased heart beat, agitation, and difficulty concentrating are reduced during long-term use of cbd.
What we discovered about the links between cbd and anxiety relief:
Fast paced lives and constant inter-connectivity have created anxious lifestyles for most of us. As life speeds up we have kept pace at the detriment of our own physiological well being.
With new regulation, patients now have the option to procure high quality alternative medicine, CBD, that has been shown to treat a range of disorders. Cbd has been shown to interrupt cortisol which leads to anxiety and stress caused from increased heart rate, decreased immune system, and fatigued thoughts
According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, anxiety affects 40 million adults in the United States ages 18 and older, or 18.1% of the population every year.
What is Cortisol and Why is cbd important for anxiety relief?
The most important factor when facing anxiety relief is the naturally produced chemical "cortisol". Cortisol is produced internally during stressful moments and has been labelled the "Fight or Flight" chemical.
While cortisol is very important to human survival, you are likely experiencing it's release during moments of public speaking, work deadlines, or studying for exams; not exactly life or death.
As your stressful moments become more frequent, your body compensates by lowering the efficiency of important organs. With decreased organ efficiency, sickness and fatigue will grow rapidly until your body shuts down and requires you to take a break.
You can either take breaks from whatever stressful activity you are dealing with, remove whatever toxic things you are surrounding yourself with, or add cbd to your daily routine.
In a medical study from the Journal of Psychopharmacology, a study was performed to investigate patients with generalized social anxiety disorder (SAD) using functional neuroimaging. Subjects were given an oral dose of CBD 400 mg or placebo, in a double-blind procedure. The results suggested that CBD reduces anxiety in SAD and that this is related to its effects on activity in limbic and paralimbic brain areas.
What happens during excess cortisol release:
During excess cortisol release, your internal health is compromised resulting in: aches and pains, migraines from clenched teeth (common side-effect of stress), lack of sleep, and physical sickness as your body begins rerouting energy from organs to compensate for extended periods of stress.
How does cbd help relieve anxiety?
CBD works in the body by working with the Endocannabinoid System. By inhibiting the secretion of cortisol at its source, your anxiety levels will diminish over time. This new overall mental state will begin to repair neural connections previously damaged from over stimulation leading to better mental clarity.
During my 30 day cbd challenge, I explain my experience with cbd. While repairs are take place, your thoughts will feel less stressed and emotions less fragile.
Patience is important during your period of cbd consumption. Your body needs time to adjust to increased cbd levels. Leave us an email or check out our store if you believe Zehne is right for you.
In another article, we talk about how cbd assists with the growth of new brain cells:
One area of the brain that is directly affected by anxiety is the Hippocampus. Why is this area of the brain so important? According to The National Center for Biotechnology Information, neurogenesis (growth of new cells) in this structure have been implicated in stress sensitivity and resiliency in relationship to mood and anxiety disorders. Meaning the regeneration of new neurons is hampered by increasing levels of anxiety and stress.
CBD effects take time to merge with your body. During this time cbd will begin reducing levels of cortisol released into your body. These reduced cortisol levels result in lowered overall anxiety and stress leading to mental peace.
